This intervention by the artist Marie Larroque-Daran is based on a singular anecdote from the museum.
In fact, in 1881, a species of mushroom was attributed to a fictitious place imagined by a harvester on a mission for Barla: Mont Daour (meaning Mont d'Or) was born and lives in the museum. This imaginary territory, a treasure trove of possibilities, becomes the link between the pieces presented to the public in the main hall and the invisible collections supported by little-known scientific approaches, but which become accessible by opening an imaginary access route to Mont Daour. Marie Larroque-Daran was born in 1980 in Toulouse. She lives and works in Nice.
